AAASynBio - The Pioneer Kenya Chapter

The African Association for Advancements in Synthetic Biology (AAASynBio) Kenya chapter was founded by a group of experts with the aim of establishing a hub for advisory in research, development, and adoption of synthetic biology.

In Kenya, synthetic biology has great potential to contribute to national development (Big Four) agenda through i.) supporting a sustainable bioeconomy, ii.) leveraging on low-cost diagnostic kits in support of the country’s health system, and iii.) supporting environmental conservation and restoration programs.

AAASynBio Kenya endeavors to provide stakeholders with a platform for dialogue, networking and advisory on research, development of policies and regulations in adoption of synthetic biology.
